The owners group
Built around one truck. Organized like a club.
Hummer Club is the national owners group: local chapters, a map, and a simple way to start one where you live.
It started in the East Bay with a 1985 AM General Hummer — boxy, tall, still the most honest 4x4 in a grocery-store parking lot. The hang grew to HMMWV people, classic 4x4s, and anyone who likes cars without the ego. That chapter still runs at eastbayhummer.com.
Hummer Club is the national layer: a map of chapters, a place to register a new one, and a calendar that also lives on hummermeetup.com. Nobody needs a dealership sponsor. If you can host a coffee and a short cruise, you can file a chapter.
The rules, such as they are
- No egos. Parts talk, trail ideas, coffee, then a short cruise if it fits.
- Bring what you drive. Hummer, Jeep, or just yourself.
- Capture the city. First chapter to file a town holds that flag. One hang per city.
